Job Vacancy: Weekend Beauty Receptionist 

Founded by mother and daughter, Angela and Rachael Burnett, Moreton Place Beauty & Wellbeing is friendly, welcoming and well-respected beauty salon situated in the hub of Pimlico.

We are looking to recruit a receptionist to work with us on weekends. Ensuring our team members have a good work life balance is important to us which is why the shift pattern for this role is very flexible and we welcome candidates who are looking to work one weekend a month, every Saturday/ Sunday or every weekend.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience working as a receptionist in a beauty or spa environment.

We also welcome beauty therapists who have had previous reception experience to apply for this role. If they are willing to deliver the following treatments: manicures, pedicures, waxing, massages and facials when the business demands i.e. walk-ins, sickness and holiday cover etc that would be advantageous.



  • Opening and closing the salon.

  • Organising the daily running of the salon.

  • Meeting and greeting clients.

  • Booking client appointments.

  • Responding to client emails promptly.

  • Dealing with service and product enquiries.

  • Delivering a first class customer service at all times.

  • Communicating client requests to the team of therapists.

  • Ensuring the highest possible standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the salon.

  • Driving product sales and up sell services.

  • Generating monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and annual reports.

  • Completing a regular retail stock take.

  • Assisting with promoting our brand through social media and other marketing initiatives.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (desirable)

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the beauty industry working within a salon or spa environment.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working as a receptionist.

  • Experience dealing with high profile clients.

  • Experience using salon software systems.


  • Exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner.

  • Impeccable presentation with a high standard of personal grooming.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage the running of the salon and assist the therapist’s in busy times within the salon.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Competent in Microsoft word and excel.

  • Reliable and trustworthy nature.

  • Confident, friendly and a real people person.

  • Knowledge of the brands we are partnered with would be advantageous.
