What is microblading?

Microblading is a specialised technique which uses a handheld micro-blade to infuse pigments into the upper layers of the skin to create the most natural and beautiful semi-permanent eyebrows. The micro-blade produces a very fine line that resembles real hair which blends in with existing eyebrow hair. The results are very natural and can last from 12-24 months, however, regular colour boosts are recommended to retain the shape of the brows and saturation of the pigment.

Who is microblading ideally for?

Microblading is the perfect solution for those who have sparse, over plucked, over waxed and thinning eyebrows. It is a great choice for those who wish to cover scars and fill gaps, define shape or create an arch to enhance the look of their eyebrows.

What products do you use? 

Wioletta uses PhiBrows which are high quality pigments that do not turn into blue, green or purple colours over time if you maintain your brows well, the colour of the pigment will just soften over time. 

How long does the treatment take? 

3 hours.

How much does it cost? 

The initial consultation is free but a £50 deposit will be taken upon booking which is deducted from your total treatment price. During the consultation wioletta will do a patch test which must be done a minimum of 72 hours prior to your microblading appointment. 

Microblading treatment + top up in 6-8 weeks time: £320 £250 (introductory offer)

Under 1 year pigmentation touch up (for microblading clients only): £150

Do I have to pay for it in one go ? 

A £50 deposit must be paid per treatment booked to secure your booking. 

You can pay full price after the consultation or should you wish to pay after your microblading treatment you are required to pay a £50 deposit per treatment booked. Your deposit will be deducted from the final treatment price.

Does it hurt? 

Pain during the treatment is relative. Scared clients usually feel stronger pain, while the other clients compare such pain with the one that they feel when plucking out their eyebrows. In addition, with women having period there is an increased sensitivity to pain, so it is not recommended to do the treatment. 

How long is the healing process? 

The eyebrows will lighten in colour as they heal.
It takes approximately 7-10 days for the brows to heal and about 1 month for the colour to fully set in. You will notice the colour is very light two weeks after healing and your skin will have an opaque, milky looking quality to it. This is known as ‘milk skin’ and is common in tattooing. This is due to the skin tissue’s healing process. True colour of the pigment will reveal itself once healed. 

Touch up session is mandatory to lock in the process and fill in any possible gaps where the pigment did not take initially to further correct and enhance the final result. This touch up session has to be booked on the day of your appointment or within the time frame of 6-8 weeks. Failure to do this will result in an additional fee being applied for the touch up session..

Is there any downtime?

No there is no downtime. 

Can I carry on with my daily activities? Ie can they go swimming, go to the gym etc?

BEFORE
The following treatments are not recommended 30 days before the treatment: 

• botox and fillers
• fruit or lactic acids
• laser treatments
• chemical peel
• exposure to strong sunlight ie sunbeds

During the first 7 days after your treatment avoid:

• All creams (except the protective ones) 
• All make up (ie foundation) in the eyebrow area.
• Exercises that cause excessive sweating
• Saunas
• Swimming
• Gym
• Facial massage 

In the next 30 days after your treatment avoid:

• Suntanning
• Sunbeds
•  light (laser) therapy
• chemical peels
• fruit acids
• microdermabrasion
• creams that contain regeneration factors.

How long does it last? 

Semi-Permanent makeup will last anywhere from 1-3 years. However, skin type, lifestyle, the density of colour infused into the skin (softer enhancements do not last as long as strong, bold ones) and maintenance all can affect the durability of the pigment. 

Are there any contraindications? 

The procedure can not be performed if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding 
• Take blood thinning medication 
• Have an autoimmune disorder 
• Have a heart condition 
• Have recently completed chemotherapy 
• Have psoriasis, eczema, keratosis pillars, chronic acne, rosacea on and around the brow area.
• Are an insulin-dependent diabetic
• Are prone to keloid scarring
• Under 18 years old
• Have previously had microblading or permanent makeup (subject to consultation or sending over pictures of your brows to help decide what is most suitable)
• Have taken Roaccutane, Warafin or Antabuse in the last year (side effects may affect healing and recovery from treatment).
